A WHILE BETWEEN BEERS…

Updated: Oct 19, 2022

Hello lager aficionados, what a crazy time it’s been for all of us.

We are making a pledge to keep you updated with everything Heads of Noosa a little more often from here on in. Throughout 2020, we’ve been heads down and bottoms up focusing more than ever on producing the exceptionally well-crafted lagers you’ve grown to love and enjoy (oh, and a 0% alternative called Hop Valley H2O!)

We are proudly Australian owned but it won't be news to hear we have become known for our Japanese style Lager. Ironic right? We have hit the ground running in 2021 and taken out a few new titles for our flagship beer. Kicking it off with the GABS Hottest 100 Countdown, our Japanese Lager was voted #37 out of all Australian craft beers, making it the highest voted lager in Australia! As a brewery who has just turned 2 years old and a distribution that has only recently ventured out of the Sunshine Coast, this blew us away! We are also proud to have collected Gold for both the Japanese lager and Lager 3.5 at the Royal Queensland Food and Wine Show earlier this year also.

Coming up next month, we are onboard as the presenting partner for Noosa Festival of Surfing. Running from the 15th to the 23rd of May, we are excited to be involved in this iconic Noosa event. This year marks the 30th year of the festival and in commemoration, we’ve teamed up with the legends at Campbell Designed to create two epic surfboards. Our world first Japanese Lager Bottle Board has received a lot of attention and we can't wait to share the story behind the board with you all later this month. The boys have surfed it and we can confirm it looks unreal! Feedback has been that it has to be photoshopped but I can assure you that is not the case! Our second board is a special surprise... so make sure you stay tuned. If you are in Noosa for the festival, our friends at Solbar will be running the beach bar on Noosa Main Beach where you can grab a fresh Heads of Noosa brew and get some sand between your toes.

For the remainder of 2021, you will see a bigger focus from us pushing into Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Our Brisbane media launch was recently held at the Powerhouse riverside restaurant, Mary Mae’s in New Farm. It was a fantastic evening, we couldn’t have asked for a better location and the team at Mary Mae’s were truly exceptional. Hosting guests from a variety of industry and media outlets, there was a great turnout...we even got to have a beer with George Sheppard from the band Sheppard (Say Geronimo!)

On the back of all this, we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of 3 new 20,000L tanks so we can keep up with demand and continue to grow the area that we supply. Thank you all so much for your support in drinking quality, Australian, independent beer.

Cheers,
